wc3tool.110mb.comAs you know the website is still in the early stages, so I'd like to see if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on the layout that you'd think make the website look better. I'm working on a version that works better with lower resolutions, I don't think everyone has their monitor set to 1280x1024 like I do...

cool if you need better textures i might be able to make some in my spare time..learning how to make "next gen" textures in school right now so could probably do an extra one if needed just you gotta know what you want lol like if you have a texture you want but want to look a bit differently i can easily do that or remake something but add certain things or whatever

The banner clashes with the dark theme but the forum itself is good. Looks nice with 1680x1050. Edit: The left side where it shows your name/ava/etc is stretched quite a bit on widescreen.

Hayato, if you wanna make up some textures that'd be cool, I'm good with photoshop but as far as making good textures its not my strong point, as well as making an image with good 3d geometry other than bevel and emboss. >.>
I'll design a new banner with a darker tone for the forums, probably wait for the weekend for that one though. Toast, check out the current server website at the link in my first post, thats the site I'm making. I haven't added pages yet, I'm working on changing the layout.
Originally I had added a right sidebar for polls and misc, but the forums have polling on their own so I'm removing it, as well as stretching the center frame to show more page and changing up the colors a bit.
I need input as far as how the website layout looks to others, is it too dark, layout too wide, etc.

I'd like to try making a logo/banner as well. Do you have separate files for the WC3:CS image and/or the IP (with little CS logo) image?

kind of. I have the base image of the wc3 logo, and the round cs logo, I stick to image search sites and just search for images I can use.. The IP and Tool type are just layers of text in photoshop with some effects and blending. The background is just a screenshot I took after I made a server, I set my video to highest res and effects for the sake of getting more of a shot than I might need.

dunno if its just me but the blue parts of the site dont seem to really match with the rest the type for the links is good though maybe have a bit more interactivity with the links when you mouse over em (change color, bold, whatever) dont know much about html...only done website layouts with flash...never had a webserver to test them out on either so always made it like you had oc128 lines to access it lol (if you dont know what that is...think downloading gigs in few seconds )

The Dark Blue lettering on a dark background is difficult to read.
It would still look good with a regular blue color.
